Civic Space App is a tool that was created by Center for Constitutional Governance (CCG), in partnership with and with support from Voice Oxfam. Upon launch of the civic space app on Android, CCG identified Human Rights Defenders , Artists , Journalists , University Students and Activists to be trained on how to download and use the civic space app.

PURPOSE
The Civic space app is under a CCG project aimed on reclaiming civic space in Uganda and seeks to empower human rights defenders /civic actors (artists , activists, bloggers and investigative journalists) to defend and protect civic space in Uganda. This will contribute to the efforts by actors in reclaiming and protection of civic space for a greater citizen’s democratic participation as a tool for tracking human rights violation incidents in Uganda.
HOW TO USE THE CIVIC SPACE APP.
Install the app on android and follow the steps below.
Step 1: Purchase data on your phone, type Civic Space in Google Play Store or Click on the icon below to download the app.
Click download and proceed to install the app, once it fully downloaded, follow the next steps.
Step 2: Turn on location , on your phone Under username , create account by entering telephone number starting with 7 Create a password with an upper and lower case , a digit and a special character / symbols and proceed to Log in
Step 3: Click on the right corner of the home page and select ‘Report New Incident’ and follow prompts to upload photos and documents.
